Product Features

PTMEG based polyurethane prepolymer are recommended for applications where parts undergo dynamic stress, etc, they incur lower heat build-up. They also have advantages in high resilience, low temperature performance and resistance to water attack(hydrolysis). Polyethers also have lower viscosity and specific gravity,and MDI based products have lower isocyanate odour than similar TDI types and have superior hydrolysis resistance and often have higher resilience.

With high NCO content and catalyst intervention, the reaction rate of MDI feedstock is 1-2 times faster than that of TDI series feedstock.Because of the high resilience and flexibility, MDI series products are much better than TDI series products in the application effect of sieve plate. The improvement of elasticity is helpful to improve the impact wear resistance and self-cleaning effect of products.

Because of the high activity of MDI, the application temperature of MDI raw materials is much lower than that of TDI series raw materials in order to prevent the degradation of physical properties of final products caused by self-polymerization of raw materials. The thermal stability and temperature resistance of MDI materials are lower than that of TDI series. The main reason is that the crystallinity and temperature resistance of MOCA, the basic material of TDI series, are better than those of MDI chain extender BDO.
